He walked out the door with a little lunchpack in his hand. He had made it himself, as he did every day. Mummy never made him lunch, she just left him on his own as she drank and smoked. The road to school weren't long, but long enough for a nine-year-old to walk alone. As he walked other kids from the houses along the road where getting goodbye kisses, hugs and lunch-packs from their parents. Some where holding their parents hand as they walked with them. Never had his mum done
any of that.

He arrived at school and walked straight to his classroom. When he took of his jacket, his teacher went by. She looked at him. He didn't notice. She looked at the little boys arms. They where filled with black and blue bruises. Shaking her head as to get rid of a fly she kept on walking. Not giving any further notice.

During class the little boy sat drawing in his book like all the other kids. When he didn't notice, the other kids starred at him. He was always quiet. They had been told to draw what they loved the most. All the kids where drawing their parents and their family, only one drew something else. He was drawing a blue sky full of rainbows and angles above the clouds. When he was done he looked pleased with hid artwork. Looking over at the drawing beside him he sighted. It belonged to one
of the other kids in his class. On the paper there was a little boy standing beside a house with his parents, a cat and a dog. Oh how he wished that boy was him.

At lunchtime he took his little self-made lunchpack out in the schoolyard and sat down in the grass to eat it. He sat there, watching the other kids play with each other. Having fun and running around.
They never asked if he wanted to join, and if he went over they just made excuses for him not to join. All in all, he was lonely with no friends.

While he sat there looking at the other kids and chewing his lunch he heard footsteps in the grass behind him. Turning slowly around his hazel-brown eyes met a pair of deep green ones. "Hi!" said the girl smiling. "i like you, can i sit with you?" she smiled and sat down in the grass beside him before he managed to answer. "I'm Hanne but my friend calls me Hanne Banane or just HM" she smiled to him as she took out her lunch. "what is your name?" asked she as she took a big bite
if her sandwich. "I'm Tom" smiled the little boy unsure. They ended up sitting talking the whole lunch-brake. He made her smile and she even made him laugh.

When lunch where over Tom ran into the classroom smiling. Taking a seat by the window he sat looking out of it the rest of the day. Thinking of the little girl with the green eyes who had became his only friend. When school was done he went outside to walk home. Right outside by a tree stood she, waiting for him. He ran over to her and together they walked hand in hand home. To his surprise she went into the house right beside his.

The morning after he came limping out the door with a new self made lunchpack. His mum had been drinking last night and became furious when he by accident spilled his milk out over the table. She had hit him several times. Out on the road stood the girl with a smile and a little worry in her green eyes. She took his hand and they walked slowly to school together. When she asked him what had happened he just answered quietly that he had just tripped. He knew she didn't believe him by the look in her eyes, but was glad she didn't ask more.

When they arrived at school they went to one direction each. In class he was told to draw what he was thinking of. He drew a monster in a house and a little girl with green eyes beside a sun. Again the teacher saw his arms, now they where filled with more bruises and he had a little scratch on his cheek. Again she just walked by and over to the next student.

It had been like this for a while now. Him coming to school with bruises on his face and the teacher not taking any further notice. In every break between classes Tom would go and meet up and play or talk with Hanne. When they got home they would go to their rooms and open their windows to talk more to each other.

One of these evenings, late a autumn day they met up as usual. Tom had been really quiet at school that day and now he just wanted to see his friend alone. They stood in each their windows and talked, when a sudden sound of a door being slammed open came from Tom's room. He looked to the side with terrified eyes.

From the other window the little girl could only see a hand grabbing a hold of the little boy's shirt and drag him away from the window. Smacks and screams where heard from the room behind the window. In the shadow of the lamp on the wall the little girl could see a tall person with long hair hit the well known figure of the little boy. His screams and cries filled the night, but no one cared. They where used to this sound. The only thing they did was to shut their doors and windows and then turn of their lights. In the window on the other side stood the little girl, hearing the screams and cries, seeing the shadows on the wall. A single tear fell down her cheek. Then the cries stopped. As they did, the girl walked backwards and disappeared into the shadows of the dark room.

Police and paramedics where running in and out of the house. It was yellow tape around it so no one would come near. Outside the tape where many neighbors gathering, wondering what had happened. Deep inside they did all know, or could guess. Alone, a little apart from the little crowd stood a little girl with green eyes. Looking at the ones that where running in and out. She knew. A women was taken out in handcuffs and put into the back of a police car and the car drove away. A little after came paramedics with a stretcher and a white sheet upon it. She couldn't take anymore and walked away, into the shadows again then she was gone.

A week later stood a priest in front of a gravestone. A few people stood around it, all dressed in black and crying. Curved into the stone stood a single name "Tom Kaulitz – 1989 – 1999". In front of the stone stood the little girl the only one that where not wearing black. Taking a last glance at the stone she turned around and walked through the person standing behind her. When she appeared on the other side she was met by a little boy. She smiled and hugged him tightly. Stepping back she looked into the hazel brown eyes of the smiling boy. There where no more cuts and bruises on him, his cloths where fresh and it looked like he was shining.

Up on a hill behind them another boy called for them and waved. The little girl took the boys hand and with one last glance at the stone he was dragged away. They both ran up on the hill and where met by other kids on their age. They where smiling. The boy was welcomed with hugs, cheering and laughter, while the girl was met by another boy. Tall with black hair and a great smile on his face he patted her back and they went over to the others and joined the hug. They all took each others hands and ran down on the other side of the hill, leaving the miserable people in black alone.
