"Hey! Come out and watch this!" I shouted from the terrace with the
view over the lake. "No!" I heard a muffled voice answer from the
bedroom. The lightnings where flashing like wild photographers on a
red carpet and the thunder roaring louder than a proud lion. "Why won't
you come watch?! It's amazing!" said I exited while standing in the
door, feeling dropplets from the rain hit my face. I took a great
inhale of air. Smelling the wonderful smell of summer rain.

"Come on! Tom, it's beautiful!"  taking a last look at the sky before
turning around and walking into the bedroom. "Tom where are you? You
gotta see this! It's wonderful, fantastic, amaz- Tom?" On the bed laid
a pile of duvets and pillows and the whole pile was shivering. "Tomi?"
I asked calmly as I sat down on the bed beside the shivering pile.
"No! Go away!" said the pile with Toms voice. "Tom, it's a thunderstorm
outside! You gotta see it!" I said exited again and put my hand softly
on the top of the pile where I guessed Toms head where. "No, I won't go
out and look! Let me stay here!" he said a bit louder. A flash that
lighted the whole room struck outside. Seconds later came a roaring
thunder louder than any else earlier and made the whole house shiver.
From the pile where Tom laid came a whimper and the pile jumped up and
hid by my side. I looked down at the pile which lay so close to me, I
could feel him shiver.

Carefully I took a firm grip on the duvet where I guessed his head
where and lifted it up. Under the duvet I first saw only black
cornrows and a pillow. Then realised he was hiding his face the best
he could in it. "Tom, dont tell me youre affraid of thunderstorms?" I
looked down at him and saw a small nod.

I chuckled "It's nothing to be afraid of! Were sourronded by tall
trees and mountians. There is no chance on earth that it'll strike
down here!" I smiled. A new flash of lightning followed by another
thunder roar. I smiled and enjoyed the sound. "I don't understan how
you can not enjoy this!" said I exited to Tom. "Well I don't understand how
you can enjoy it!" he answered mufeled down by his pillow.

"Sit up" I said to him. Slowly he sat up, but he still kept the duvet
around him and over his head. I laid my arms around him. "How come the
tough guitarist is afraid of thunderstorms?" I asked as I hugged him
tightly. He looked at me from under the duvet. "Dun wanna talk about
it..." whispered he. I looked at him. "C'mmon Tomi, it can't be that
bad" he looked at me. "Please?" he nodded slowly. "If you really want
to know it" "Yes!" "When I was little dad and I went fishing. Bill
didn't want to come with us, so he stayd home with mum. There was
little fish that bit, but we stood there. After a while dark clouds
started to gather seconds later a thunderstorm came over us. Dad told
me to pull in the line. When I did a fish bit on my hook and I got
problems with getting in the line. Dad had ran to secure our tent so I
stood there alone. While trying to get the fish in, lightning and
thunder started to flash and roar above me". A new roaring and drumming
thunder rolled over the area. I could feel Tom shivering even more as
he crept closer to me if that was even possible.

"I tried even more to get in the line, but the fish was resisting
strongly. Finally I saw the fish shimmering in the water. I got it up,
but as I was going to lift it above land it jumped of the hook.
Milliseconds later the lightning struck. It hit the fish in the air
and I was pushed backwards into the water by the blast when it struck
through the fish and hit the ground. That is the last I can remember
before waking up at the hospital two days later.... I was six that
time..."

He shivered as another flash came, also followed by powerful thunder.
I looked out the window and saw the wind gripping the trees as I
hugged him.  "Tom, do you trust me?" asked I and looked into his eyes.
He looked confused at me. "What do you mean?" "Do you trust me?" I
asked again. "Course I do! I'd trust you with my heart!" he answered
confused. "Take my hand then" rising up I held it out to him. He took
it confused and rose up, still with one of the duvets around him and
over his head.

Slowly I led Tom out through the bedroom door, into the linvingroom
where the terrace doors still stood wide open. Outside the lightnings
where still flashing, both between the cloud layers and some struck
the ground. Tom held my hand as he went up behind me and held around
me as I slowly led him towards the open terrace door. He shivered
behind me as we reached the door and again I could feel small
dropplets on my face. I felt him put his arms around me, as to protect
me tho I knew he did it to make himself feel safer.

"Look, there is nothing to be affraid of" I smiled with eximent as a
lightning bolt hit a stone in the middle of the lake. A thunder came
roaring and tom held tighter around me. I put my hands on top of his
as he laid his head on my shoulder. I lent my head to his "Tomi, can
you stand here alone for a few seconds? I'll be back at the speed of
lightning" I smiled. A little unwillingly he let me go and I ran into
the living room and pushed one of the reclainers to the door where Tom
stood.

I went up in front of him again and pushed him gently down into the
chair. Then I sat myself at his lap and he put his arms around me
again. "What do you think of the thunderstorm now?" asked I and looked
at him. He didnt answer, just looked out at the sky where the lights
played across the cloudy sky. "Isn't it amazing? How the lights light
up the sky? How pure energy is made out of thin air?" he lent his head
on my shoulder "Yes, it is kind of amazing, but still...." he
whispered. "Is it still as frightening for you as it was?" "Not when
you are here with me like this" he whispered again. If I hadn't known
him like I do I wouldn't have heard the tiny little flirt in his tone, but I did.
I smiled. "So that means you will sit like this with me next
thunderstorm too?" I asked and leaned back on him. "The next one and
every after that!" I smiled in exitment. "Then I have another reason
to love thunderstorms even more!" his arms pulled me closer to him and
there we both sat, looking at the lights flashing and playing around
at the sky.
This is the first thing I've written done since I finished posting my last FF, which is too long ago! Sorry bout that... ;)

I got this idea from my vacation in Italy. One of the days there where a small thundertorm above us, and my lil sis was terrified... wile I really enjoyed it. It was amazing and i filmed parts of it! The coolest part, for me, was that it lasted for over 2 hours straight!

I love this! It's written so well, I think (if you don't already) that you should write for real.
And P.S.- I love REALLY REALLY loud and strong Thunderstorms that last forever. The world seems so peaceful yet wild at the same time. ;D
